Dear Valued Members,

The University Club continues to closely monitor the unfolding situation around the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and
the Club follows the updates provided by McMaster University and government advisors

. After much consideration we have made the difficult decision to close the Club until further notice.
The safety of our Members, Guests and Staff remains our top priority. In light of the challenges we are facing due to the COVID-19 virus,
we trust this is the best decision at this time.

Although we are not aware of any presumptive or confirmed cases of COVID-19 among our Members, Guests or Staff,
we feel that we should align with recommendations from McMaster University and from the many government advisors.

All required maintenance will continue throughout the closure to ensure that our facilities and equipment remain safe and readied for reopening. We will continue to monitor new information and will regularly communicate with our Members and Staff as we look forward to reopening as soon as possible.

As always, our priority is to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our Members, Guests and Staff as well as the wider community in which we operate. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate these unprecedented times.

More than 50 years of Service to the University Community
“Sodalicium Universitatis Sempiternum”

Welcome to The University Club of McMaster. For over forty years, the University Club has been a focal point for intellectual, cultural and social interaction on campus for faculty, staff and alumni of McMaster University.
The amenities of the Club include the historic Great Hall, with its unmatched view of the Faculty Hollow from the balcony, which extends along the full length of the west side of the Great Hall. Also on the main floor, the Member’s Lounge (Bar) offers a relaxing atmosphere, and the West Room is a popular location for members to host
meetings or social gatherings.  Dining at the University Club offers a wide range of choice, from light meals in the lounge to banquets and fine dining in the lower level Dining Room. The Club offers event planning, facilities and catering services for private parties - from a weekend conference to an elegant wedding.

The Club provides its members and guests the opportunity to wine, dine, to entertain or to be entertained in a comfortable, private and relaxed atmosphere.
